KURINUKI & Midnightbazar

Traditional Japanese Clay Carving

Description

About the class: As part of the Midnight Bazar, we invite you to join our Kurinuki sessions — a traditional Japanese technique of carving from a single block of clay. It’s one of the most meditative and expressive ways to create ceramics by hand. During the session, you’ll craft and glaze your own cup or bowl, which we’ll fire for you. Your finished piece will be ready for pickup at our studio (Ligsalzstraße 3) about 3–4 weeks. Level: Suitable for all skill levels — beginners welcome! Duration: One session, approximately 1 hour. Session times: 18:00 — 19:00 19:30 — 20:30 21:00 — 22:00 Location: Midnightbazar at Pineapple Park Paketposthalle, 80634 München, Deutschland What to bring: Just yourself and a good mood! We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a bit messy. Aprons and all materials will be provided. Language: The class is conducted in English, but the teacher also speaks German. You can book your spot in advance or join spontaneously during the bazar. Please note: spaces are limited (maximum 10 participants per session) to ensure an intimate and personal experience. After the class: We’ll take care of glazing and firing your creations — you’ll be able to collect your finished piece in about 3–4 weeks at our studio on Ligsalzstraße 3. The price includes entry to Midnight Bazar.
