A new three-session format — a great way to try the pottery wheel and explore working with clay.


Description

About the class: This class is a great opportunity to become acquainted with the pottery wheel and clay. We will cover the basic techniques of throwing and teach you how to create a mug, bowl, or even a vase from a small piece of clay. We’ll also introduce you to trimming techniques to shape and clean up your pieces — helping you create beautifully finished ceramics, perfect as a handmade gift or something special for your home. Level: all skills levels Dates: May 23 6PM: Pottery Wheel Session May 25 11AM: Trimming Session The glazing session happens a few weeks after the trimming. The dates for the glazing session session are flexible, so you can choose one that works for you. Duration and timing: The class consists of 3 sessions: Wheel modeling: approx. 3-3,5 hours Trimming session: approx. 2 hours Glazing session: approx. 2 hours Number of Participants: The workshop will be held in a small group of 4 participants. How to prepare for the class: Consider wearing clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. We'll provide an apron and all necessary materials for each participant.

Q&A and cancellation policy:

Cancellation policy for Wheel Class (PW) & others: Full refund if cancelled at least 14 days in advance. For cancellations after this period, we may offer you the opportunity to join another Pottery Wheel Class if we have available slots. Please note that cancellations made less than 7 days before the Pottery Wheel Class are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. You may transfer the class to another person if you can't make it. Our studio is for adults. We allow children aged 14 and over to be accompanied by an adult, but both would need to book a place separately (except for Kids Clay Day where the recommended age of the participants is in the class description and depends on the class). We kindly ask you not to bring anyone who is not participating in the class or course, as our studio does not have enough space for comfortable waiting. How to prepare for the class: Consider wearing clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. We'll provide an apron and all necessary materials for each participant.
