Description
About the class: Kurinuki is a traditional Japanese technique of carving from clay and one of the most beautiful methods. Together we will make a cup or a bowl and after the class you are welcome to come to glaze your special pieces of art. Level all skill levels Duration and timing: The class consists of two sessions: hand-building and glazing. Hand-building session: approx. 2,5-3 hours Glazing session: approx.2 hours The glazing session happens a few weeks after the first. Once your creations have dried and been through the first firing, you'll get to add glazes. The dates for the second session are flexible, so you can choose one that works for you. Number of Participants: The workshop will be held in a small group of up to 8 participants. Enjoy personalized attention in our intimate class setting. How to prepare for the class: Consider wearing clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. We'll provide an apron and all necessary materials for each participant. Q&A and cancellation policy:
Our cancellation policy for Hand-Building Class (HB) & other: Full refund if cancelled at least 14 days in advance. For cancellations after this period, we may offer you the opportunity to join another hand-building class if we have available slots. Please note that cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled class are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. You may transfer the class/course to another person if you can't make it. Our studio is for adults. We allow children aged 14 and over to be accompanied by an adult, but both would need to book a place separately (except for Kids Clay Day where the recommended age of the participants is in the class description and depends on the class). We kindly ask you not to bring anyone who is not participating in the class or course, as our studio does not have enough space for comfortable waiting.
