Ceramic Advanced Course by Sophie Feb

5 lessons – wheel & glazing

Description

4 lessons of wheel throwing with some fun, more experienced techniques + 1 glazing session In this advanced pottery wheel course, students will explore forms of various shapes and sizes while strengthening and refining their wheel-throwing skills. Weekly classes are structured around the creation of a more challenging piece (such as a teapot, a large 2-part vase, etc) based on students’ interests. The first two classes will focus on re-establishing core skills and building a strong foundation in preparation for this challenge. In addition to scheduled classes, students will have 10 co-working hours (co-working rules apply) to practice techniques and concepts discussed in class. The final class is dedicated to glazing the pieces created during the course. This class is ideal for students who feel confident on the wheel and are ready to step out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves! Prerequisites: Completion of a basic wheel course or a summer/winter camp (or something equivalent) Dates: 6, 13, 20, 27 February and 20 March at 18:00
